Have you noticed the wide price difference in coffee k-cups? I am constantly amazed at some vendors will charge as much as $1.25 per K-Cup. You can find many different deals on the internet and especially at Amazon if you do your research.
The key is to finding the coffee or beverage that you like and then searching it out to find the best deals. Some coffee manufacturers sell direct where others only sell through retailers. Larger coffee companies like Tully’s, Caribou Coffee, and Green Mountain have on-line websites where you can order K-Cups. Others such as Emeril”s does not. Strangely enough, you may find that buying direct is not the best way to get the cheapest K-Cups. Some larger retailers will sell the larger bulk packages at almost their cost to bring customers in. They then make up the margin on shipping and handling.
I have found that the no nonsense Coffee People seem to have less expensive coffee. Despite the cheaper cost, most people that have tried it will rate their coffee at a 4-4.5 on a scale of 1-5. This is actually as high as most of the larger coffee companies, but for almost half the cost.
If you just can’t seem to change coffee brands, then you should consider buying the largest amount of K-Cups you can in one package. Several manufacturers do sell a 100 or even 150 packs. One example is Caribou Daybreak Morning Blend K-Cups which is sold in a 108 count pack which will bring your per unit price down to around $0.56 per K-Cup. While not as progressively priced as the above deal, it is cheaper than the typical $0.80 you will often pay per K Cup for Caribou.
Lastly, when you are ordering on the internet, remember that the cost of the product is not the only cost to consider. You may get a great deal on the product, but if you pay an outrageous price for shipping and handling, it may not be the cheapest around. If you order from Amazon, they will often give you free shipping if you spend more than $25 is certain categories and more than $50 in others. Occasionally they will also be offering free shipping during special times of the year. Watch for this and save some extra cash.
Do your research, find the cheapest deal and save some money!
